Diamonds in the sky!

Guwahati was shining bright on the evening of 3rd November. A ride through Chandmari, Zoo Road, Ganeshguri, 6 Mile, G.S. Road, B.Barooah College Road, Fancy Bazar, A.T. Road, Machkhowa, Bharalumukh, Kamakhya, Pandu and Jalukbari would probably make any depressed  person elated, happy and dreamy. Compared to the last few years, it seemed like people were bursting less crackers and rather decorating every house and building with illumination of all hues! Wow! Guwahati looked happy for a change!

A Diwali date with the city!

Date: 2nd of November, 2013
Time: 8.30 am
Place: Guwahati
Occasion: Diwali

Guwahati was looking beautiful today. The Brahmaputra was enrobed in mysticism and as usual, a walk through the park, with the cool autumn breeze blowing in from the river somehow embalmed the soul.

The market at the Uzanbazar Ghat, like always, to everyone's joy, was a hub of activity, with people gearing up for the festivities in the evening.

And Maa Kali always has been a silent spectator!

The morning cuppa chai was missing, so preferred to have it with the boys selling veggies! The red tea is a favourite with everyone in the city!

And now eagerly waiting to see the lights illuminate my city in the evening! Happy Diwali from Guwahati to the entire world!
